Stitt poised to replace nation's least-liked governor

Oklahoma's Governor-elect Kevin Stitt is making his rounds across the state this week, now just four days away from being officially sworn in.

Stitt's inauguration festivities were scheduled to start Thursday night in Lawton. And as the state's new chief executive starts his journey into office, Gov. Mary Fallin is making her way out after eight years at the helm.

According to a study done by the Morning Consult, Fallin is the least popular governor in the United States, with a 72 percent disapproval rating. The ranking is based on more than 416,000 surveys.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who was elected to a second term in November, scored No. 9 in the survey, with only a 24 percent disapproval rating.

Massachusetts Republican Gov. Charlie Baker topped the Morning Consult survey, with just 14 percent of respondents expressing disapproval.
