University of Oklahoma quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray was expected to play pro baseball after college, but that decision is now up in the air.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the Sooners standout is leaning toward entering the NFL Draft.

The paper reports that the Oakland Athletics drafted Murray 9th overall in the Major League Baseball Draft last summer. The understanding was that the Allen, Texas, native would play one more season of college football and then begin his pro baseball career.

The Chronicle's report says declaring for the NFL draft doesn't guarantee that Murray will reject the $4.7 million signing bonus he received from the A's, but it increases the chance he'll decide to play pro football instead.
