BOKCHITO, Okla. -- Workers were assessing damage Tuesday morning after a freight train derailed just west of this Bryan County community.

The G&W train was operating on the Kiamichi Railroad tracks across from the Robinson Dairy when 13 cars of the 135-car coal train went off the rails around 6:45 a.m.

Michael Williams, a spokesperson for Genesee & Wyoming Railroad Services, said the train was not carrying any hazardous materials, and that no one was injured.

There was no estimate as to when regular service on the rail line will be restored.
