MADILL, Okla. -- A sales tax renewal is on the ballot for Marshall County voters on Tuesday.

If approved, one percent of the sales tax collected will continue to go toward funding the AllianceHealth Madill hospital facility.

"It's more crucial for us, because we are Marshall County's only hospital," said chief administrative officer Tracy Byers.

Marshall County taxpayers would not see higher taxes if the measure is approved since it simply renews an existing levy.

Voting on the hospital funding question takes place on Tuesday and is open to anyone who is registered in Marshall County.
