Sherman ISD hosts 'Principal for a Day'

SHERMAN, Texas -- Some Sherman business leaders wore a different hat today.

A dozen community business partners played the role of ‘Principal for a Day' in the district’s Partners in Education Program.

All twelve learned what it's like to be principal and got a closer look at district operations.

Matt Brown, President of Sherman Legend Bank, spent time at the Fred Douglass Early Childhood Campus.

"Oh this has been a really good time. This is a lot better than sitting in an office typing out emails and answering the phone, so it's been very active. I've gotten to read several books this morning, say the pledge to the American and Texas flags several times, so it's been a very active day," Brown said.

This is the sixth year for the program.
