SHERMAN, Texas -- A haunted house in Sherman is offering spooky fun along with a way to help a good cause.

Hatch and Kraven's Slaughterhouse is collecting canned foods for the Bob Skaggs Memorial Food Drive.

Even though the official drive hasn't yet started, the haunted house has been taking donations all month long in exchange for a ticket discount.

Food from the Bob Skaggs drive goes to The Salvation Army of Grayson County.

"I can't think of a better way than through things that people go to and enjoy and have fun with," said Salvation Army social services director B.K. Schlesinger. "They can bring a canned good and go have a good time, and we desperately need the food right now."

Hatch and Kraven's, at 1400 West Taylor Street, is open Tuesday and again on Halloween night. Tickets go on sale at 7:30 p.m. and sales end at 11.
