ACHILLE, Okla. -- Achille Mayor David Northcutt was arrested Monday morning after police say he broke into a Calera residence.

Police said a man woke up and found two other men in his home. Police identified one of them as Northcutt, 41; the other as Joshua Doughty, 19.

The homeowner followed the men with a shotgun until police arrived and arrested the suspects.

Officers said they also found methamphetamine in their possession.

In March 2014, deputies were called to Northcutt's home after he fired a shot during a domestic argument. He admitted to firing the weapon, but said it was intended as a warning.
