Hall Earns GAC Special Team Honor

DURANT, Okla. - Southeastern's Maalik Hall has earned the team first Great American Conference Player of the Week honor, taking home Special Teams recognition after his play in a 21-7 win over Arkansas-Monticello.

Hall recorded the team's first blocked punt of the season and the first blocked punt for the Savage Storm since Devan Drake blocked two in a 53-7 win over Bacone on Oct. 4, 2014.

Hall's block was recovered by Hunter Treadwell at the Boll Weevil one yard line and immediately turned into points, giving SE a 21-0 lead at the time in a game they would go on to win 21-7.

Hall and Southeastern return home on Sept. 29 to host Northwestern Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. on Paul Laird Field.
