KINGSTON, Okla. -- There is new information about the shooting at the Marina del Rey resort in Kingston early Sunday morning.

Marshall County Sheriff Danny Cryer said the trouble started when a group tried to stop 21-year-old Trace Fisher from driving while intoxicated.

Fisher allegedly pulled out a gun and shot another man in the face. A witness told KTEN that Fisher's vehicle crashed into a storage building at the marina.

Cryer said the suspect's mother turned him in. Fisher was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and was later freed on $100,000 bond.

The victim, whose name was not released, remains hospitalized. The sheriff said he was unable to speak, but is recovering.
