Driver killed in wreck near Ada

PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. -- A Roff resident died Friday morning when his truck crashed south of Ada.

The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety said 36-year-old John Provence was headed west on County Road 1600 when the Chevrolet pickup ran off the pavement and rolled, landing on its roof. 

Roff, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pinned in the wreckage. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
