Pottsboro teen faces charges in Denison drive-by shooting

DENISON, Texas -- A Pottsboro teen is behind bars after an alleged drive-by shooting in Denison.

The suspect was named as 17-year-old Dillon Zachary Jeffers.

Denison police responded to the gunfire on in the 900 block of West Walker Street on June 30. Later that day, Jeffers was arrested by Pottsboro police for theft of a firearm, burglary of a vehicle, possession of marijuana and evading arrest.

A warrant was issued Wednesday on additional charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct discharging a firearm.

Bond for Jeffers was set at $1 million.
