SHERMAN, Texas -- The lip-sync challenge posted Friday by Sherman police is already a big viral hit.

Officers filmed their performance of the Righteous Brothers' classic "You've Lost the Lovin' Feelin'" at Hot N Creamy Donuts Friday morning. All were off-duty and volunteers.

They used a version of the song from the soundtrack of "Top Gun" for their performance.

It's something they say is important to show the lighthearted side of law enforcement.

"It was a lot of fun," Assistant Chief Bruce Dawsey said. "We had scheduled about an hour-and-a-half to shoot the video, but we were able to do it in about 40 minutes... so if it doesn't look good, that's because we did it in about 40 minutes; but if it looks really great? Hey, we did that in 40 minutes!"

After getting almost 4 million views since it was posted on Friday, Sherman police now said they challenge Sheriff Tom Watt and the Grayson County Sheriff's Department.
