Ex-Savanna officer sentenced for sexual assault

PITTSBURG COUNTY, Okla. -- A former Savanna police officer has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Jerry Lynn "Jay" Gragg Jr., 40, pleaded guilty in federal court to violating the civil rights of a woman he sexually assaulted during a traffic stop last year.

Gragg accepted a plea deal;  the terms require him to forfeit his law enforcement certification and comply with federal and state sex offender registration requirements.
