ARDMORE, Okla. -- Police in Ardmore made a grim discovery early Saturday morning: Two bodies in a burning car.

Officers got the call at 4:35 a.m. about a vehicle on fire in the driveway of a home on Anderson Street.

The victims were found inside the charred four-door sedan.

"That's the second time on Anderson there's been a car fire that I know of," said a male neighbor who did not wish to be identified. "I think they need to investigate it heavy and find out what's really going on around here, because we have to live here... we have to tolerate what's going on, and it ain't good for families."

Police Sgt. Brice Woolly said the investigation is still in its early stages, but they are treating it as suspicious.

"It's sad to hear that people got mixed up in that kind of situation," the neighbor said. "It's really sad to have things in our neighborhood going like that."

The names of the victims have not been released.
