SHERMAN, Texas -- Sherman police are searching for the suspect in an armed convenience store robbery late Thursday night.

Investigators said a man entered the Shell station at the corner of U.S. 75 and Lamar Street at 10:30 p.m., pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and demanded cash.

After getting what he wanted the man fled south on foot. The clerk was not injured.

Police said the suspect -- a black man wearing a gray knit cap, a black, white and gray sweater, yellow gloves and white tennis shoes -- should be considered armed and dangerous.

Call Sherman police at 903-892-7290 or 911 if you have any information about the suspect.
