DURANT, Okla. -- The City of Durant is adopting a new and easy way to pay your bills.

Three PaySite kiosks have been installed around town, where you can get current with anything from water bills to cable bills at the touch of a button.

The goal is to make it easier for citizens to pay utility bills without having to travel to City Hall.

"Not everyone gets off work between 8 to 5 to come to City Hall and pay their water bill if they aren't on our auto-pay," said Durant City Manager Tim Rundel. "This eliminates that by have three kiosks strategically placed throughout the city."

There is no service fee for using the ATM-like kiosks for city payments. The system will officially launch on November 13 at these locations:

  • Pruett Foods, 1231 North Washington Avenue (open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
  • Southeastern Electric Cooperative, 1514 East Highway 70 (open 24 hours)
  • Choctaw Travel Plaza, 4015 Chocktaw Road (open 24 hours)

The machines accept cash, credit cards or checks.
