PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla. -- A man accused of killing two Antlers sisters in a car crash last year is headed to prison.

A Pontotoc County jury found 35-year-old Shawn Jones guilty on two counts of second-degree murder.

Troopers said Brooke Trotter, 34, and 29-year-old Becky Trotter died in September 2016 when Jones crossed the center line of Highway 3 just outside Ada and slammed his car head-on into the Trotters' Jeep.

According to investigators, Jones may have been driving under the influence of alcohol.

The jury deliberated for just over two hours and is recommending a life sentence for each count.

Jones' sentencing is scheduled for December 15.
