CARTWRIGHT, Okla. -- A fatal accident shut down Highway 91 for hours on Monday afternoon, backing up traffic for miles.

State troopers said a Jeep Grand Cherokee sport utility vehicle was headed east toward Colbert when the driver, 18-year-old Mason Geter of Cartwright,  apparently lost control.

The SUV rolled several times; all three occupants were ejected and rushed to Texoma Medical Center in Denison.

DPS said 20-year-old passenger Dustin Allen Hoedebeck of Colbert was pronounced dead on arrival.

Geter was last reported in critical condition, being treated for head, arm, leg and other injuries.

Zachary Glenn Lovelace, 18, of Cartwright, was treated and released.

Troopers said none of the young men was using a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
