DENISON, Texas -- Police are waiting for the medical examiner's report as they investigate a fatal shooting in Denison late on Halloween night.

Officers were called to the 3000 block of South Eisenhower Parkway around 10:30 p.m. at Allen Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning.

A man identified as Robert Allen, 55, was found dead. He worked at the family-owned business.

"It's just a tragedy," said Denison police spokesman Lt. Mike Eppler. "It's very sad that things like this happen, and we always encourage the public to help us, especially in times like this when we really need information, when it's something very serious like this. Anybody who knows anything, please come forward and talk to us"

Denison police are working with Texas Rangers to try and identify a suspect and a motive for the crime.

"We're following up on some information," Eppler said. "Right at this moment we have no firm suspects."

The Allen Plumbing Facebook page says the company has been serving Grayson County and the surrounding area since 1965.
