The National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch for most of the KTEN viewing area in Oklahoma on Saturday evening.

The alert was effective until 2 a.m. Sunday.

Forecasters said severe storms are expected as a strong storm system and cold front move through Oklahoma and north Texas.

"Damaging wind gusts and large hail will be the main concerns," the weather service said. "The tornado potential will be low across portions of the area."

In addition, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued for the Texas counties in the Texoma region along with most of north Texas -- including Dallas and Fort Worth -- until 2 a.m. Sunday; damaging winds and large hail are possible with any developing storms.
