SHERMAN, Texas -- A Denison man is headed to state prison for six years.

Quincy Lee Henderson received probation in December 2016 after being convicted of assaulting his girlfriend. Two months later, he allegedly assaulted a different girlfriend and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Then -- earlier this month -- Henderson, 31, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a third girlfriend and evading arrest.

"It's very important that we acknowledge that any time a man puts his hands on a woman and hurts her, he needs to get prosecuted every time," Assistant District Attorney Britton Brooks said.

Brooks said Henderson had been running from police since February. He has a long criminal record; ten years ago he was sentenced to 72 months in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
