DURANT, OK -- Dozens of kids rolled into Durant to compete in the Red River Special Olympics.

The bowling tournament hosted eight different schools all over the area.

We’re told 155 kids competed and enjoyed free food. There was no age limit, so the adults joined in on the fun too.

The tournament is in its tenth year. this was the second biggest competition they've had.

"This is the best we've ever had it,” said Patty Shackleford with the Red River Special Olympics. “We just appreciate everybody that came out and supported the kids, appreciate all these teachers and schools."

The tournament used to be held in Durant until the bowling alley closed.

They've been playing in Ada for the past few years, but the Choctaw Casino was happy to host them at the District, bringing them back to Durant.
