MEAD, OK -- A man lost his life Saturday night after troopers say he was drunk and passed out at the wheel.

Oklahoma State Troopers say Travis Sanford, 40 of Mead, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It happened around 10 Saturday night on a county road just outside of Mead.

They say when he passed out he lost control of the car and hit several trees.

A child was in the car with Sanford. They were taken to a Dallas-area hospital and listed in stable condition Sunday night.
