WWII exhibit in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE, TX -- If you're looking for something to do this weekend, you can step back in time to world war two with a big exhibit happening in Gainesville.

It's going on at the travel information center on I-35 South of the Red River.

Several museums in Texoma are displaying their collections of world war two memorabilia.

It's a chance to learn about a pivotal moment in our history.

"It's very important that people understand and know what sacrifices that the greatest generation made for our freedom, so that we can do things like this," Kenny Bezner said.

This is a part of the history alive weekend that will happen at the Cooke County fairgrounds.
