Plea deal in Pontotoc larceny and possession case

PONTOTOC COUNTY -- A man made a plea deal in a Pontotoc courtroom and has been sentenced to five years’ probation.

39-year-old Christopher Cathey was charged with grand larceny and possession of a gun.

Besides the five years’ probation, Cathey was ordered to pay a thousand dollar fine as well as restitution.

The Pontotoc County sheriff's office arrested Christopher Cathy after they say he stole a pair of four wheeler's from a home in the

1900 block of County Road 1555 and then fired his handgun toward the owner while being chased.

Deputies caught Cathey later after they say he ran over several mailboxes and blew a tire.

    SULPHUR, OK -- Investigators in Sulphur are trying to figure out what caused a large commercial building to catch on fire late Monday night.
