Crash on Wet Roads Claims Man's Life

GARVIN COUNTY, OK-- Highway Patrol Troopers say a Garvin County man has died after crashing his car Saturday morning.

They say 43 year old James Richard Johnson was driving east on a county road just outside of Pauls Valley around 8:30 at a high rate of speed.

They say his vehicle crossed the center line on a curve, he then over corrected, and crashed into a brick mailbox.

Troopers say the roadway was wet, and he was not wearing a seat belt, Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
