Driver loses control and rolls semi in Denison

DENISON, TX -- It was about as good an ending as you could hope for when a semi rolled over in Grayson County Wednesday morning.

First responders say the driver lost control on southbound Highway 75, drove off the road, and rolled over out in front of Texoma Medical Center.

They say the Sherman Fire Chief called it in when he saw it on his way to work.

It happened about 6:30 in the morning.

The driver of the semi was not hurt and was able to get out of the cab before emergency personnel arrived.

"Historically we've had some bad accidents on this stretch of the highway involving 18-wheelers and fortunately this one didn't involve anyone else.  He didn't hit anyone and he was OK too so we we're happy about that," said assistant fire chief Bill Ray.

The crash did not result in any road closures, and no other vehicles were involved.

First responders say they don't know why the driver lost control.
