ARDMORE, OK-- Bittersweet hugs outside of a Carter County Court room, after the family of Stormy Lusk watched 46 year old Robin Faulkenberry being walked out in handcuffs.

"I'm just glad that the ball is rolling to get justice for storm and for the friends and family who donated to the GoFundMe," Shera Tanner, Lusk's mom said.

Faulkenberry was arrested on embezzlement charges Wednesday afternoon.

District Attorney Craig Ladd says she pocketed more than $5,000 donated on a GoFundMe page, she claimed would go to Lusk's burial.

"taking the kindness from people to help you, you take it because you don't know anything else to do, and then to find out you've been taken advantage of, then that's a different story,"

20 year old Stormy Lusk was shot and killed in her Ardmore home on June 5th.

Her family says they never received any of the money Faulkenberry collected... now they say, they're glad to see she's being held accountable.

"We look forward to her being punished for her crime and for restitution to be made on behalf of the 90 people who donated to Stormy's tragedy," Dana Taylor, Lusk's aunt, said.

Wednesday in court, Judge Carson Brookes set Faulkenberry's bond at $5,000.

Files show this isn't Faulkenberry's first run in with the law -- she has former charges of a DUI and writing bogus checks.

Lusk's mother and aunt say, Faulkenberry's unapologetic demeanor in court, was hard to watch.

"To benefit from Stormy's murder financially, she has no conscience," Taylor said.

Prosecutors say Faulkenberry could face up to five years in jail and/or a $5,000 fine.

"Basically she's being accused of being entrusted with money for one purpose but appropriating that money and using it for a different purpose," Ladd said.

And although nothing can take back what's happened, her family says they'll stick together with Stormy present in spirit.

"We cherish our memories and we just look forward to justice," Taylor said.

"Stormy is here with me everyday, and she will be here with me every day from now on, until I see her again," Tanner said.

Faulkenberry will appear in the Carter County Court again on March 17th at 9:00.
