Love County Escapee Emilio Garcia Captured In OKC

Posted:
Update: US Marshals found Emilio Garcia walking down an Oklahoma City road this morning after receiving a tip.  A $2,500 reward had been offered for information leaded to his capture.

The other inmate who escaped Thursday night - Jesse Dean James - was arrested shortly after the men got away.

Jailers say the two got away when James faked a seizure causing them to open the cell.  That's when the two forced their way out.

Garcia was in jail for a laundry list of charges including false impersonation, possession of a stolen vehicle, and aggravated eluding of a police officer.

He will now face charges in Oklahoma County.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK -- The Love County Sheriff's Office confirms that Emilio Garcia has been caught in Oklahoma County by the US Marshal's Task Force.

Garcia and another prisoner escaped this past Thursday from the Love County Jail.  The other escapee, Jesse Dean James, was recaptured soon after escaping.
