Davis unfazed heading into Class 2A semifinal

DAVIS, OK -- The Davis Wolves haven't lost a game in almost two years, they're on a 28 game winning streak and, believe it or not, it was almost snapped last Friday in Adair.

They would escape the quarterfinal and now all eyes are on this Friday night's semifinal against Hennessey.

A large group of seniors leads the Wolves and they've only lost one game in their entire varsity career.

That being said, there's really nothing Hennessey can do to startle them.

"You can't put them in a situation they haven't been in. They've been behind and had to come back, they've been way ahead and had to hold on, we prepared ourselves for that all week," head coach Jody Weber said.

"You take practice day-by-day and then you go in there and play your game, like coach Weber says all the time, if we play our best and they play their best I don't think there's a doubt we'll come out on top," senior lineman Austin Conner added.

Kick-off from Putnam City at 7 p.m. Friday.
