Sherman hoping to control clock against North

SHERMAN, TX -- There are close to 20 different playoff scenarios for district 10-5A teams as all of them are mathematically still alive.

For the Sherman Bearcats to make it, first step will be beating McKinney North this Friday.

The Bulldogs are coming off their win last week over Denison and one of the top teams in the district.

To win they'll have to stop Ronald Jones, the Oklahoma State running back commitment, and to do so they'll have to keep him off the field by controlling the clock.

"It's huge, and I mean I'm not a time of possession guy as you know, but it is for this game. Because, I mean, I'm going to tell you the more chances he gets, the more chances he gets and so that's not good," head coach Bill Patterson said.

Kick-off from Bearcat Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
