Southeastern's Dworaczyk named GAC special teams player of the week
DURANT, Okla. (SOSU) - Southeastern's Layton Dworaczyk has been named Great American Conference Co-Special teams Player of the Week following his performance in the punt return game in a 45-7 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State last Saturday.
Dworaczyk turned in the first Savage Storm punt return touchdown since 2009 when he took a Ranger punt 63 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter of the team's win over NWOSU.
On the day he had six returns for 128 yards for an average of 21.33 yards per return which lifted his season average to 14.3 yards per return which is second in the GAC and 19th in the country.
He also added a 22 yard reception in the game.
Southeastern has won four-straight contests and will be back in action on Nov. 1 when it travels to Searcy, Ark., to face Harding at 2 p.m.
