Murray State Softball program searching for players for Alumni Game

Posted:
Murray State College is excited to invite past softball athletes to help close out the fall season by playing in the first ever MSC Softball Alumni Game. Former Aggies are welcomed back to compete in a friendly game against the current softball team, or to just enjoy watching the game. A potluck cook out after the game provides an opportunity for the current athletes to meet those who came before them.

Head MSC Softball Coach Marie Stone says she planned the event as a way for the team to connect with Aggie Alumni. “We feel it is important to know our roots. Meeting previous student-athletes who helped lay the foundation for our program will be a great asset for our current team. We plan to continue building pride and tradition within our softball program and Murray State College."

The game is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2014 on the Murray State College Softball   Field at the Johnson County Sports Complex.  The game is free and open to the public. Former Aggies interested in attending can contact Coach Stone to register.  For more information, contact Head Coach Marie Stone at mstone@mscok.edu (580-387-7587) or Assistant Coach April Lane Hartmann at avlane22@gmail.com.
