Sherman's Garza commits to Kansas live on KTEN

DENISON, TX -- Sherman offensive guard Aaron Garza would commit to play for the Kansas Jayhawks in an exclusive live interview on KTEN.

The rising senior would take a new approach to making a verbal commitment using his cell phone to FaceTime the Kansas coaches.

"Hey coach Campo, this is Aaron Garza. I'd like to let you know I'm committing to the University of Kansas," he'd tell former Dallas Cowboys head coach and current Jayhawk defensive coordinator.

He'd narrow his college choices to Arizona State, Ole Miss and KU after decommitting from Texas early this year.

"I think they're on the rise and they can potentially win the Big 12 and in a few years possibly win it all everything goes right. So, it'd be historical to be a part of that," the Bearcat added.

Garza is a top 100 (No. 87) prospect in the state of Texas, according to

He had several other offers including from Baylor and USC.
