ARDMORE, OK -- Kids in Ardmore and the surrounding community get a chance to experience a little bit of Broadway through a free youth theatre camp.

Coordinator Vicki Gelona says the Jim and Ida Williams Summer Youth Theatre Camp began in 2005 and through contributions of several local families is free for every child that wants to participate.

The camp produces three shows during the summer for kids ranging from kindergarten through high school.

"The dedication from these kids is just amazing," said Gelona. "You wouldn't expect that it's a high school performance. They take it to a totally higher level than anything that you would expect."

The camp will begin its final performances of its final production of the summer "In The Heights" Thursday evening.

SHOWTIMES

Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 6:30 PM

Sunday: 2:30 PM
