SHERMAN, TX -- Texoma Regional Blood center is asking for your help meeting the needs of certain blood types.

Donor resource directors say the center is experiencing a shortage in several blood types and they're critically low on their supply of "o" positive blood.

The center will be open tomorrow from 9 in the morning to one in the afternoon Saturday.

"Come out and donate, that way you can help the community, you never know whether it's, you know, a friend, a family member, anybody that may need the blood, and if we don't have it we can't provide it to them," said Francis Campbell, Texoma Regional Blood Center.

The blood center says they'll be holding blood drives next week to combat the shortage.

They'll be held at the Texas Star bank in Van Alstyne on July 14th, the American Bank in Bonham on the 15th, and at Hot Summer nights in Sherman next Thursday.
