HOWE, TX -- Workers were out fixing the tracks this weekend following a train derailment in Howe on Friday.

We spotted them replacing rails and ties Sunday that had been twisted and damaged during a derailment in the middle of town.

Three cars are now turned upright on the rails and one is sitting off to the side.

On Friday afternoon, four cars toward the back of the Dallas Garland Northeastern train tipped over and dumped their rock out.

Police say because of another derailment in the Metroplex, some of the company's equipment was tied up, but they started making repairs on Saturday.

At last check with Howe officials, we're told the railroad was hoping to have everything fixed and trains running by tomorrow..
