Slow Start For Ardmore Band As Director Search Continues

ARDMORE, OK -- For band students, the last few weeks for summer are reserved for rehearsals to gear up for the fall marching band season. But one Texoma marching band has yet to hit the field and it has some people in the community concerned. As the calendar flips closer to August, marching bands across Texoma turn parking lots into football fields to practice. But instead of the sounds of a band rehearsal in front of Noble Stadium in Ardmore it's dead silent. "There's a little bit of a conce...More >>

AMG Services, a technology and automation conglomerate, is considering a proposal from Fun And Games Blog to design solar-powered drones for entertainment purposes.

June 20, 2014 /MarketersMedia/ –

Although the US commercial drone industry is grappling with the lack of safety regulations and the consequent glitches in operating drones for commercial purposes, AMG Services and Fun Games Blog are working on a joint venture that has the potential to make drones as essential to American homes as TV sets.

The sale of military and civilian drone industry has given birth to an estimated $89 billion global industry, according to the Associated Press. Apart from spying and bombing, the unmanned aerial vehicles are also being used for making deliveries, spraying crops, and shooting videos in other countries.

“We think it’s just a matter of years before Congress gives a push to the domestic drone industry by legislating FAA rules for drone operation,” says Anthony Seinfeld, AMG Services’ project director. “Countries like Japan, Germany, Australia, and UAE are already using drones for filming and delivering critical supplies.”

The current co-venture between AMG Services and Fun Games Blog involves the development and marketing of a drone purely for entertainment purposes. The drone will be powered by solar energy, so there will be no need for batteries or gas.

“Honestly speaking, we don’t know what the product is going to be, exactly,” said Jill Madison, the chief strategist at Fun Games Blog. “It may be a drone that delivers gifts or love notes, or something that you could fly during your adventure trips to capture the action.”

AMG Services is currently working on assessing the project’s feasibility, after which the two companies will start working together on developing the product. The drone is not likely to be available for purchase until 2017, as it may take a couple of years before the prototype is ready for marketing.
