VAN ALSTYNE, TX -- A man convicted of retaliating against a state trooper learns his fate in a Sherman courtroom today.

A judge sentenced Rory Hogenson, 51, of Van Alstyne, to five years in prison. Prosecutors say Hogenson returned more than two dozen times to the home of a trooper who'd pulled him over for DWI on Highway 75, dumping nails behind the trooper car.

Hogenson told us in April that he'd taken the rap for someone else.
