DENISON, TX --- The Denison Yellow Jackets are focused on keeping the ax and defending their district title of a year ago.
To get there, they believe the work needs to be put in, in the weight room.
They'd spend the afternoon maxing out and breaking records, several of which were set decades ago.
As we inch closer toward the fall season, the jackets are proud of the progress they're making.
"Obviously you want to be stronger, faster, quicker, you know, more agile and that's what we spend a lot of time on this off-season. Had a great off-season, they've become better teammates, you know, the grades have gone up, they're doing well in the classroom and they got great attitudes toward and that's always important," Denison head football coach Chad Rogers said.
Denison will be able to start two-a-days on August 4, 2014.
