Another Set Back In The Pointe Vista Case


MARSHALL COUNTY -- Another setback in the continuing saga of the Pointe Vista development in Kingston.

Marshall county commissioners announced today. They're pulling the county's tax incentive for the project.

Commissioners voted this morning. To rescind and dissolve the Pointe Vista development tax increment financing. Or "tif" district. Which was originally

approved back in 2009.The district included more than 25-hundred acres in the eastern part of Marshall county.

Commissioners say. The lack of progress by developers. Lead them to make their decision.

Pointe Vista is currently being sued by the state of Oklahoma for breach of contract.
