BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- Troopers say a drunk Durant man was critically injured after being ejected from his pickup truck at Lake Texoma.

It happened around midnight about a half mile south of the Lakeside campground off Streetman Road.

Troopers say Joshua Stanley, 29, was doing donuts around a picnic table. Then, the pickup went off a ledge.

Stanley went out the window and the truck rolled over him, according to OHP.

He was taken to TMC in critical condition and was later released and taken to Baylor Hospital in Dallas, OHP Lt. Scott Hampton said.

Troopers say a friend who appeared to be drunk interfered with medical personnel and fought with troopers, leaving one with a cut on the hand.

James Tom, 29, of Mead, was arrested and taken to the Bryan County Jail, Hampton said.

He was booked in on charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, and interfering with medical personnel, Hampton said.
