CARTER COUNTY, OK -- A toddler is dead after going under the water at a home in Carter County.

Sheriff Milton Anthony says the drowning happened on Jehovah Rd on Friday.

The child was taken by helicopter to Dallas, but didn't survive.

Anthony says Lone Grove police have notified the Sheriff's Office about the incident which was in the county.

Deputies are investigating.
