Sherman Bearcats make progress in spring ball

SHERMAN, TX -- New head coach Bill Patterson all settled in Sherman as the Bearcats would have their second to last spring tune-up Wednesday.
They're gearing up for Thursday's Maroon vs. White game.
Big schools in Texas have the option to participate in spring ball. Patterson's teams always have.

Improvement is a word being tossed around at Bearcat camp as they get ready to wrap up until August.

"I think we've gotten better every day, but we're obviously in a tough schedule with the Denison and the McKinneys and Wylies, Lovejoy, Prosper. We've got a long way to go to be able to compete at that level," Patterson said.

The spring game will kick at 6 p.m. Thursday at Bearcat Stadium.
