Early Voting This Week in Texas

TEXAS -- Early voting started Monday for the primary runoff election in Texas.

Election officials say the biggest change this voting period is early voting will no longer be held at the Grayson County Courthouse in Sherman, but in the Elections Administration building across the street.

"We are holding it in our new Elections Administration building here at 115 West Houston Street in Sherman. We have a nice large room, entry level so it is easy to get in and out of," says Deana Patterson from Grayson Elections Administration.

Patterson says one of the items on the republican ballot includes the runoff for Grayson County Judge. Both the democrat and republican ballot contain state-wide races as well.

Grayson County has five locations for early voting that are open from 7 am to 7 pm, May 19th through May 23rd. Those locations are:

Grayson County Election Administration, 115 West Houston, Sherman
Grayson County Sub-Courthouse, 101 West Woodard, Denison
Pottsboro ISD Administration Building, 105 Cardinal Lane, Pottsboro
Whitesboro City Hill, 111 West Main, Whitesboro
Grayson College, 1455 West Van Alstyne Parkway, Van Alstyne
