Church hosts Fans for Life event to give back to community

Posted:
SHERMAN, TX -- The Victory Life Church held their Fans for Life event Sunday evening inviting the entire community to come out for food and entertainment while sending a portion of the proceeds to the Grayson County Shelter. They also teamed up with a local radio station for the annual fan drive collecting fans for those without air conditioning.

"Our hearts is to be a blessing,” said Jacob Sheriff, Resident Pastor, “so the reason why we gather every weekend, throughout the week, we have events like this is to be a blessing. So I guess the community can just look forward to us being more involved. And being a part of what's going on in this community. We love this community."

Event coordinators say if you didn't make it to the event, you can still donate items such as cleaning supplies or laundry detergent by dropping them off at the Grayson County Shelter.
