Latta Panthers aiming to end nine year title drought

ADA, OK --  It's been nine years since the Panthers have brought home gold. Quite a title drought for a team that has a dozen in their name.
Their road will be a tough one as they open up with top ranked Silo, but they've had one of the strongest strength of schedules in the state.
A lot of the players are coming off back-to-back basketball titles, so they know what it takes to compete at the highest level.

They're just hoping to get it together starting tomorrow.

"It doesn't make a difference of who you play, it's the finality of it up there. You know, one loss and you're coming home," head coach Ed Collins said.

"to mix things up a little bit. Maybe even to just have a ring in two sports and I mean we'd have to work real hard for it, it's just not going to be given to us because there's so many good teams up there and it's definitely going to be a tough task," senior CF/P Brady Johnson added.

"You know, we're there, we're always going to be there, always going to go to state, not going to give up, keep our heads up,"senior P/1st baseman Tristen Wood.

They'll play Silo at 4 p.m. Thursday at Shawnee.
