Three AC men's tennis players earn all-conference honors
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Three members of the Austin College men’s tennis team have been named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention performers for their play during the 2014 season, the league office has announced.
Adam Dokos, a freshman from Lakeway, was named All-SCAC after putting together a record of 8-8 at number one doubles, including going picking up a pair of wins against conference opponents. Dokos also played number one singles for the ‘Roos throughout the year.
Jack Kunde, a senior from Burnsville, Minn., was also named All-SCAC after compiling a record of 8-5 playing primarily at number five singles, and went 2-1 versus SCAC opponents. Kunde was also named the SCAC Player of the Week once this season.
Cedric Ambulo, a freshman from Cedar Hill, was named All-SCAC after teaming with Dokos to go 8-8 in number one doubles, and played at number two singles throughout the course of the season. Ambulo also became the first ‘Roo men’s tennis player to earn SCAC Player of the Week honors at the beginning of the season.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
