MARSHALL COUNTY, OK -- A Marshall County man faces a felony charge after deputies say he kicked an elderly man in the chest early Tuesday morning.

Marshall County Sheriff Ed Kent says Ronald Gilmore is charged with aggravated assault and battery after he kicked his father, who recently had triple bypass, in the chest.

The sheriff says the pair got into an argument Tuesday morning over operations involving family property.

Sheriff Kent says Gilmore has posted bond.

He's scheduled to appear in court in June.

In a similar case, 20 year old Lexus Davis of Madill received the same charge in court Tuesday after Sheriff Kent says she beat up her grandmother.

\Deputies say it happened on Sunday when Davis, who has a history of drug use, asked for money and her grandma refused.

Undersheriff Danny Cryer says the elderly woman, who is a cancer patient, received severe wounds to her head and arms and is still in a Marshall County hospital.

Davis' bond is set at $25,000 and is due back in court later this month.
