BRYAN COUNTY, OK -- A grass fire at three spots on the same road kept firefighters busy near Durant this afternoon.

It happened around 3 p.m. on Highway 70. Brush trucks responded to put out fires at three different places on the north side of the road between Sawmill Road and Hickory Hollow Road, just east of town.

One resident says he took a frantic call from his wife after smoke starting popping up on either side of his home.

"I got here and it looked like our house was on fire because it was burning down there and burned down here, but she said there was a black pickup pulling something probably a flat tire or chain or something," says nearby resident Jeff Hutchinson.

Firefighters say they don't know what caused all those fires, but they were able to get them all out in about an hour.
